I'm going to need a fairly experienced PHP+MySQL programmer for a project I'm working on. I'm not sure if this is the best place to post the request, but I think I'll get fairly good responses here, despite the fact that I haven't been around OT much recently. :)

I just don't have enough spare time to code the project myself and would rather work on it from a managerial standpoint. The project will probably be fairly simple in scope will likely expand. It's for a business of mine. It will include user tracking/login system, eventual purchasing system, and HTML creation/email delivery. Fun, not too difficult, stuff.

I'm not sure what the pay scale is for projects like this, but I can be flexible. The project is in its startup phase and is being funded entirely out of pocket by myself, so I'm not going the route of professional coders on this, but I'm not looking to nickel-and-dime a good programmer here either.

If you're interested email me with the subject "PHP Coder for hire" at [robcole at gmail dot com]. Please include what experience you've had with PHP and MySQL before, and links to any projects that you've included. Also include your desired salary range (this will likely be done by the hour as the project will expand over time but we can negotiate this) for this sort of project.

thanks guys,
Rob

Could you expand a little on the timeline of the project, I have adequate PHP/MySQL skills for what you need probably.

Hey Brad,

What I'm basically looking for is a person that can adequately design the following things and integrate them together:

PHP+MySQL login system (this system will have to allow users to register for a new account, as well as validate information when they create an account, etc.)
The account-creation process will store standard user data, starting with an email and password, and keep information like full name, address, etc. as well, should the user choose to enter it (look to Amazon's user tracking system for examples).

Also integrated will be an ordering system, so the users will be able to order a particular product, and will be able to pull up information about past orders, etc. The ordering system will be a bit of a task, as the product and the ordering method are tied together.

In terms of design, the application will need to be designed from the standpoint that data and presentation are separated as much as possible. I've already got someone doing the CSS and HTML for the site, so the form elements and everything else need to have as much flexibility as possible in the way they show up. Something using tableless forms would be ideal.

I can't really say much more than that right now. If you're interested, send me an email and we can chat.

Rob
