My new PCI video card review has just been published by Sudhian.

:D

If you have time, please check it out and let me know what you think.

Awesome stuff i really enjoyed the read, kinda shows you that if you dont play the newest of the new that your old vid card is often more than enough still. I wonder if in a year in a half we will see ones for a AGP while all the larger review sites just focus on PCI express? (a little hint there ;))

So is that you or dan akroyd in the picture :D

We've got GF FX 5200 cards on the table from PNY, Inno3D, and MadDog Multimedia, at speeds ranging from 150 MHz memory to 500 MHz memory

Is that correct or should it be either 150mhz to 250mhz DDR or 300 to 500mhz effective.

No, that's not me, and yes, it does look alot like D. Akroyd, doesn't it?

You are correct in your 2nd assumption, as well. That was a typo.

Your article is a thing of beauty. (cough, cough) I am tearing up.

I wanted some 3D oomph for some gaming in a secondary machine so my wife can join in on some LAN games (I am a lucky man). We enjoy games like JK2 and NOLF2 and are looking forward to HalfLife 2. I have a Radeon 9800 in the main machine.

I ended up buying the AIW VE last week. I am having fun with the VIVO/TV functions - but I still keep thinking about the MD 5200. I wish there were such a thing as an AIW 9200SE 128MB. I have to return a 9100 because it was not compatible with my VA-503+ Socket 7 motherboard.

Can you comment on differences in (enjoyment of) the visual quality/effects between the cards in these games?

You are, indeed, a lucky man! :D

I wish I could, but my monitor is a cheap Dell 17" that was manufactured in 1999, so the picture quality on it is nothing to write home about. I really couldn't tell a difference in IQ among any of the cards.
