Well im tired of my dfi nf4 expert board. It only works when it wants and my gaming rig has been out of commision for a while since the damn thing refuses to boot after being turned off. So now i need a new s939 mobo to put my opty 165. I dont care for sli since I will be upgrading to a kentsfield system next year so have no need to get any more video cards. I just need something non dfi and non sli that can oc my opty to around the same as the dfi was doing when it was working which was 2.9ghz. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

I would probably RMA the expert considering you have the proper components for the board. What have the guys said over at dfi-street.com? How many amps does that enermax have on the +5vsb line? If I was really sick of the best (or potentially the best in your case), I would order an epox, they are very good boards that aren't as picky.

Its a problem the board has had ever since i bought it. I bought all the other parts according to dfis compatibility so there wouldnt be a problem. It is just a problem that has been happening ever since the expert came out. It will sometimes refuse to boot after being turned off. I mean dont get me wrong it is an awesome board when the damn thing boots but I am tired of these issues. This is my second expert board as I had to rma the first one which had the same symptoms. Are the memory dividers on the epox bios as good as the dfis? Thats pretty much my most important concern.

Is this the epox?

and Abit?

Im guessing the sli version is the same since i want a firewire port.

You'll be disappointed with the Epox or Abit memory dividers...100-133-166-200 as far as I know.

He'll also have a couple over 200 with that CPU on a KN8.
There's a mod BIOS for the Abit with 183 as well.
