need a non "P4c" chip trying to figure out which one

I'm going to upgrade my 1.6ghz to a 2.4, 2.53, or 2.66 (anything higher is a little pricey hehe) with some extra money I have. Which one should I get that yields a better overclock with air cooling? Oh and also, what kind of HSF solution should I get (besides the SLK-900u that won't clear my mobo). Thanks for your posts.

I had recently built a 2.4B@3ghz v1.55

Retail HSF.

Temps were about 50c under load...

i have a 2.66b...currently at 3.0Ghz default voltage, stock hsf. Nice little chip.

I got a retail 2.26 with a P4 3.06 retail heatsink (more copper in them) that should overclock very nice for you...
