Need a *NICE* digital wall clock

I'm trying to find a nice digital wall clock that auto-sets itself. This is for the livingroom so the digits must be easy to read from a distance. Ideally, the clock would have a blue display and auto-dim depending on the amount of ambient light.

The closest thing I can find is the 3M Precision Clock. However, this doesn't seem to be illuminated, which makes reading it more difficult when the room is pitch-black. We have a projector in the livingroom, so we watch TV and movies with the lights off.

Any suggestions? Price range is between $1 and $150. :)

I always thought you weren't supposed to have a clock in the living room. Some sort of archaic Dear Abby etiquette rule or something like that.

Interesting, thanks. :)

DayLaPaul, why not have a clock in the livingroom? You don't like to know what time it is at a quick glance?

theflyingpig, the one I linked is pretty elegant, IMHO, for what it is, but it doesn't seem to be illuminated!

Thanks for the suggestions thus far! The Nixie is too spendy and borderline ugly, IMHO. The Sharp may be considered. :)

Haha, it's a gift for a roommate. He doesn't believe in analog time pieces. :( I guess they make him think too much! :p Personally, I'd go for a nice Seiko...

I just got a nice Casio watch and duck taped it to my wall in the living room. Hard to read though. Very classy though....

There are no nice digital wall clocks. Give up.

I used to be surprised to run into people who couldn't tell time on a non-digital clock. Over the years, I've noticed the frequency seems to be increasing. I'm no longer surprised.

OP: there are clocks with hands that will automatically synchronize themselves.

Wow...lots of  right here. :) I will surely be ordering at least one of those! I like the Franklin atomic analog wall clocks myself.

Thanks a TON!
