Need a new watch.

Not too expensive, please. Digital, fairly goodlooking, i guess. Functionality is a plus - my current watch is one of these old PC-connect casios. Über geeky?

Walmart has a good selection of digital watches for under $10. The one I wear now is over 2 years old and best $8.88 I have spent.

I recently saw some watches that monitored heart rate too, I thought that was cool especially if you workout to see when your heartrate is up.

Please don't wear a digital.

I've never seen a digital that wasn't tacky. Could be absolutely beautiful... but as soon as you stick any kind of digital display in... bleh. I especially hate the new ones that flash colors or symbols and sh1t.

Well, the look is probably like, the tertiary concern. I like digitials because I'm really bad at reading analogs and, idk, I just like digitals better. I don't want a calculator because I almost always have my 89 in my pocket.

Only good looking digital, IMHO:

Meh - I've never loved the X-33.

I generally dislike digital watches, but I can think of a couple of aesthetic standouts that I find really attractive:

Nike Oregon Series Square Digital - my favorite affordable digital

Ventura V-Tec Alpha - spendy but really cool

The only digital watch I actually own (among 10 or so other watches) is the Casio G-Shock MTG-930, which is ugly as hell but incredibly functional. I find I never wear it, though. I'm presently wearing a Hamilton automatic chronograph.
