Need a new video card

Hey all, I'm looking to upgrade my video card, as the one I am currently running is a GeForce 3 Ti200 and is getting a bit long in the tooth. System is a AMD Barton 2500, 1 gig ram. Currently on win ME, at least until I can find my XP cd..
I havent really kept up with video cards since I bought the GF3 in Jan 02... it seems as ATI has good cards now and the driver issues are things of the past???

The game I play the most is Dark Age of Camelot, who just released an expac that is supposed to have directx 9 features... reflective water and such. I also play CounterStrike, Quake 3, Medal of Honor Allied Assault, RTCW, NWN, Warcraft 3, Dungeon Siege, Unreal 2, UT 2003, Ghost Recon, Op Flashpoint, IL2, MS Flight Sim as well as numerous older games like Baldurs Gate series, Starcraft, Diablo 2...

Of course, I would like to play Doom 3, Half Life 2, and CounterStrike 2 when they become available 😉 And would like to keep this card around for a while, I cant quite afford 200 every few months.

I have seen a Geforce FX 5900 for $200 and a Radeon 9600Pro for $150. Any advice?

I would say the same as the above person but also add that as long as that card is holding up right now, you may as well save some more money and see what comes of it.

Either the fx5900 or 9600 pro that you mentioned would be fine for those prices. It just depends how much you really want to spend and the settings you like to run your games at.

but 5900 won't run good with HL2, i would get myself, but that is a main reason i getting, other then games out now, and i don't wanna upgrade in like 6 months.
