The fan and cooling system on my video card is making a lot of noise like it is in pain. I don't think it is under warrenty anymore (got it in fall 2004).

ATI x800 XT Platinum 256mb AGP card. Built by ATI. Not an offbrand.

Where is a good place to buy replacement fans, and, how do I find out which fan will work for me?

Appreciate the help. Happy holidays!

I would go down to an electronics parts/supply store and find one that fits that has the same rpm and voltage requirements. I have replace a fan on an ATI card that way. Here in Tucson I would go to SWS Electronics or Radio Shack. The place depends on where you live.

There are a lot of aftermarket ones out there. The card is bit old and hence i wouldnt spend a lot on its cooler try one of these...

VGA Cooler

Any cooler should be compatable with your card. There are generally enough holes for them and the cooler will come with its own clamps/strip.
