I had a flat last night and need a size 205/15. Are the prices good at Wal-Mart? How much is the tire installation?

If it's below $80, I'll go. Also, any tires/brands you guys recommend?

For a single tire? $80 for a 205/15? Jesus man, if your car runs a 205/15 you don't need a super performance tire. Check TireRack.com as a measure against local prices. Some places will match, some won't.

If you have a Sam's Club membership, their prices are even cheaper and you get free lifetime rotations.

Thanks for the replies. I need to get this done quickly so I can get to work tomorrow. Wal-Mart is a few miles away so it should be ok since my car is on a donut. Any reason not to go to Wal-Mart?

tbike06, I will check out some local shops too. I would check other places but I need this done by tomorrow morning.

Check TireRack. Their delivery is usually a day or two max via UPS since they have many warehouses they ship from.

Im' sure you can go a day or two on donuts, depending on the distance of your commute

ROFL, checked Wal-Mart's website and the 205/65R15 start at above $100. Wow. Hmm ... maybe I do need to shop around lol. I prefer the BFG Goodrich Traction as I have one of them on the other rear wheel.

check to see if you can get the hole in tire plugged. check out local tire shops too. discount tire is the best around here. Costco has good deals if you have a membership there. Sears tends to be overpriced.

I checked the tire. The side of the tire has tears running all over it, a big tear in one spot and tears acorss the wall. It looks as if it is not useable anymore.

I just checked Tirerack.com and they have the BFG Goodrich Traction 205/65R15 for $69.99 but around $38 for shipping. So basically, the same cost as Wal-Mart.

I started a thread about a week or so ago about how a big piece of metal got stuck underneath my car. I suspect that it may have damaged the tire or the rocky grass I pulled over onto. I probably should check the other tires just in case.

Well I just went to Wal-Mart and ended up getting a Goodyear Viva since that is the only one they had. Not too bad since it was $51. The total cost was $76 or so. Not too bad. Although, the tire doesn't look as good as my other tires. Oh well.

Why dont people pick up the phone and call places anymore? I would think that is faster/easier than posting on ATOT and asking for what people think might be the best price...

I had a friend get a set of tires at Walmart, the wheel weights kept flying off as he was driving down the road.

Actually, I did, but what is the problem with posting here? Some here might have a better answer/solution to a problem. It is worth a try, no?
