Need a new sound card

I don't have tons of cash to spend. Right now I have an Aureal Vortex II, which totally sucks in WinXP (sound dies in SoF2 and other programs). My computer is hooked up to my reciever and speakers, so I don't need rear channels or 5.1 capability or anything. I just need a good sounding and well supported card.

Any tips/suggestions?
