So, I just noticed my 1 year old Opteron 165 system is running at 65+ degrees C when playing games and I'm having some framerate issues because of it. Being an SFF, there's not much I can do. Guess it's time to upgrade. What's a good mid-range setup using a Core 2 Duo chip? I need a specific chip (will overclock it, if the temperature won't get too high), memory, and a board (with PCI-e). I'll pick a new case out later.
 
Look into an e6300 C2D to o/c and probably something on the Intel 965 chipset. If you want to spend more get the 4MB cache e6600.
