need a new set of pc speakers

I am in need of a new set of pc speakers. I am giving my cheap o logitech 2.0 speakers to my daughter to use with her new pc I got her. I have never really had a decent set of pc speakers so I have no clue in what to look for. I don't want to spend over $100 and it would be real nice if I can snag some locally from say walmart, target or best buy. I can order online that is no problem just dont want to get killed with the shipping prices

I don't need surround sound but a 2.1 would be nice. I imagine just about anything would be better then my cheap $10 logitechs lol.

You could grab a Lepai amp, Dayton bookshelves or sats and have enough left for a DAC. It would be better than any "pc" setup for the price

I will look into that for sure, it sucks using these little cheap speakers since my pc is basically a gaming htpc hooked up in my living room to my hdtv.

I absolutely adore mine. Don't even use it for my computer anymore - hooked up a bluetooth receiver and use it with my portable devices as a stereo system of sorts - fantastic for the $200 I paid, a steal at $125
