Right now I'm running the same system on an Ultra 400Watt PSU, but I'm replacing the X850 PRO with the X1900XT oc'd past XTX speeds. The X1900XTX uses about 70 watts more than the X850 Pro. My Ultra 400 Watt has an amperage of 20, and it's a single rail psu. So, I need a new PSU. I don't have much money...I'd like to spend $20-ish.

Is this PSU good enough?

This unit is about the same cost wise out the door... but long term it is better build quality.

I'm not sure how this PSU is any better...don't think I'd go with it

Me neither since both units are low end, low power, low efficiency, non-PFC hunks of crap... but Aspire/Apevia is among the worst PSU's on the market. SilverStone rarely produces a dud and their support is good. Not great, but good. Aspire/Apevia's support is non-existant. So if I had to choose the lesser of two evils, it would be the SilverStone.

Silverstone is known a as solid unit, and that unit is built by FSP the amperage on the +12 V
equals the apevia. the apevia unit is not to great build quality wise...

The Antec EW 380 would also be in the same dollar ball park....

There are better PSU's but in the $$ range he is looking for that Silverstone fills the bill.
