Need a new power button

Just got my friend a SN41G2 and the power button is wompty and takes 30 pushes for it to come on. The mobo has a 2-pin power-on jumper and i'm thinking of getting a momentary push button and installing it in the 3.5" bay. Anyone know where to get one with a 3.5" drive cover or know if something like this might work? Thanks for any help.

radio shack maybe...

that should work...but i bet you will get something down at your local raido shack will workjust as well, if not better. just make sure to get a non-momentary pushbutton single through, single pole normly open switch

You could press the reset button into temporary duty as a power button - they are both the same type of swith. just move the reset connector over to the power switch header pins.

But if you want to get another switch at Radio Schlock and contrary to what was posted above, a normally open, momentary contact, pushbutton switch is what you want. I would try the reset switch trick first though, because it may not be the switch at fault at all. Also test the power switch with an ohmmeter (part of a DMM (digital multiMeter which should be in any good techie's kit). I'd be willing to bet a fiver that there is nothing wrong with the power switch at all...
