So far i have had g1,fuze and iphone. The g1 seems like the best so far over all but the battery life is terrible, the iphone 3g i didn't like so much because of having to type on the touch screen and the Fuze is just terrible.

I prefer a phone with a keyboard and not using windows mobile but i will take a phone with a touch screen keyboard but just not a iphone.

What do you think i should tryout next? no verizon or sprint phones plz, must be gsm

Yeah, the Samsung Memoir and it's cousin with fewer megapixels, the Behold, are good choices. No keyboard, but the OS is "TouchWiz" and not Windows Mobile.

I just ordered a larger capacity battery & back cover for my G1.

I really like the iPhone, but I got on an elevator the other day, 5 people, 3 of us dug out our iPhones...

I truly hate having a toy everyone else has.

That's exactly the problem that I have with the iPhone too. Everyone has one. I got on the plane last weekend and everyone got our their iPhones (or maybe Touches, but a lot of them were iPhones). I used to like it when I had this new phone that most people didn't own - and then I could brag a bit that I'd hacked it to T-Mobile. Now I feel like a member of the herd. About the only nice thing that comforts me is that I pay about half what they do per month.

I want Palm to release a GSM Pre. Preferably ASAP.

Nokia E71, about $300 unlocked. Symbian 60OS. Lots of apps. Has wifi, 3G, bluetooth, gps and agps, runs pretty much anything you want. Real keyboard, small but real, great battery life, nice screen, takes micro SD cards to at least 16GB, video conferencing, and more...
