Hi
My Abit BG7 died and am gonna RMA it. I liked the BG7, except the 3:4 CPU/DRAM ratio didn't work well.

I've read lots of good things about the Epox 4G4a+, and am leaning towards it or the Abit IT7. I'll probably go with the Epox, since this BG& will be the third Abit Mobo I've RMA'd in the past two months (Abit AT7 and BD7II).

I've got some Coarsair XMS PC3200, which I haven't been able to fully utilize its capabilities with the BG7 or BD7II.

Thanks in advance

A i845e/g cannot run pc3200 @ 400 unless the fsb is overclocked high enough so that the mem ratios 3:5 or 4:5 could then run at 400. To run at 400, your fsb needs to be at 120 (for 3:5, no problem for most northwoods) and 160 (for 4:5, only reachable by the 1.6a). A sis645dx could run at 100/400 and 133/400, but i845 pple just flame the sis chipset, evn tho this chipset is the best p4 ddr bandwith board.
