My motherboard is a EPoX EP-9NPA+Ultra Socket 939

I need a new northbridge cooler to replace the loud buzzing noise on the old one.

how would you go about doing that if it does?? Ive got a DFI and im looking for a good cooler....

I've actually been debating whether or not to get the EP-9NPA+ Ultra and then put the ZM-NB47J on the chipset. I actually emailed Zalman support for their advice, and they did not recommend I use the ZM-NB47J on any nForce4 chipset.

So many here seem to have had success with the ZM-NB47J on the A8N-SLI Deluxe. Thus, I'd really like to just go for it. I thought about getting the A8N-SLI Premium since it uses a fanless heatpipe to cool the chipset. However, I've read that the A8N-SLI Premium wasn't designed for cases that invert the motherboard upside down (like my Lian-Li PC-V1000) since the heatpipe is on the bottom. Is this true?

Lastly, I also considered buying a (quieter) 40mm fan and sticking it on the side of the ZM-NB47J, like this Panaflo. Your thoughts?

The Swiftech MCX159-R is undoubtedly the BEST chipset heatsink on the market. I have one installed on my Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe and it keeps it nice and cool!!!

Yes, I've seen that little monster. I was only concerned about the fan. Is it really 18dBA (or at least nominally quiet)?

It's ALOT quieter than the stock 9k RPM fan that used to be on there. The Swiftech will be the best $50 spent on a chipset cooler EVER.

So does anyone know if the A8N-SLI Premium's heatpipe is a hindrance with respect to cases that invert the motherboard?

Asus does not recommend inverting the motherboard. When the system is off, all the coolant goes down to the heatsink fins, when you start it up, the northbridge heats up while the coolant stays at the bottom.
