Hi,
I have shortened and reposted this. I am currently reviewing the L227WT-PF bought for ?339 at MediaMarkt. I will either have to live with it or take it back. I really need help on making a decision. Although I initially thought it very bright, I lowered the brightness to "0", everything seems to be fine. The monitor does not have any USB ports, I am not finding this a hindrance, as I have enough ports on the extension from the PC. The software, Fortemanager does not seem to be working, all the programme buttons are 'greyed' out.
Major use of the monitor will be work, heavy webbing, and a rare game or two. At the same time with the web graphics becoming so demanding, thinking ahead, I believe it is important to have a Gaming "ready" monitor.
I am currently looking at the following monitors but am open to any suggestion, I am also totally open to all "good" monitors, brands am looking the "Sweet Spot".
LG L227WT
ViewSonic VX2255wmb
DELL SP2208wfp
DELL 2208wfp
However the ViewSonic VX2255wmb has a contrast of 700:1 ratio and 5ms and the LG L227WT-PF 10,000:1 and 2ms. I have also researched the DELL SP2208wfp and the 2208wfp extensively. These monitors seem to be separated Siamese twins.
