Well my Sun 21" CRT died....after 3 years. So now im looking at LCD's.... but dont know much about them.. except looking at response times and ghosting issues.

So, i have a budget of about $250-$350. Looking for a 19 Inch.

I game a lot.. along with regualr use surfing, email, spreadsheets, etc.

Any help would be great.

thanks,

Chris

I second that motion on the BenQ FP91G+.

I bought one about 4-5 months ago and it's a great monitor for both gaming and everyday use.

I like the Dell 1901FP, personally. That's the one I use. I'm thinking about getting another, if I can find that model anywhere. I think they're selling 1905FP now.

Personally I like Viewsonic LCD's. I bought a 19" VX910 1 1/2 years ago and I have been very happy with it. Even though it has a 25 ms response time (which was good then for a 19"), I have never had any issues when playing DVD movies or playing games like CS or WoW. It was $800 when I bought it...ah yes it hurts...anyhow, they came out with pretty sweet new models and they are also pretty cheap like for example the 19" VX924 with a 3ms response time for $359 at newegg (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824116355) or the 19" VG920 with a 8ms response time ( this one is specifically for advanced graphics/gaming users) also for $359 at newegg (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824116369).
There are a lot of good ones out there so I would read some reviews and look at them in a store like Bestbuy to see the differences in brightness, viewing angle and color saturation.

BenQ FP91+ used it for a month, no dead pix, excellent color, great for my gamez 8ms. Don't count on rebates tho. They never come.

About the rebate- from the reviews, people have been paying $5 for expedited rebates and getting it back in 2 weeks. I'm tempted to try it out- it's only $200 with DVI.
