Need a new mobo for p4 2.4 northwood

Im not too sure on what would be the best choice for this cpu. I do not know what chipset is needed and so on. I need sugestions on decent boards to get. Also, I would like to find out what the limit is on this beast in the OC department so it needs to be a good OCer. It is a non ht verson.

its a non HT cpu tho

Asus P4P800-E deluxe this will work fine it doesn't matter that your CPU isn't hyperthreading, its backwards compatible.

400 or 533mhz FSB?

Not if he has a 400mhz FSB version..

It supports the 400FSB version check ASUS's website for CPU compatiblity here: http://support.asus.com.tw/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx?SLanguage=en-us it lists the 2.40, 2.40A, 2.40B and 2.40C are all listed as supported 400mhz -800 mhz FSB's

Overclock that 2.4 with this.

i wouldn't put my money into an intel chipset board like that, especially if you have a i have a: P4 533 2.4, there are boards for much less to be had with performance and stability. if you search really hard, you can find a new board for under 40 bucks with a pure bred intel chipset with AGP and the latest features.
