Every day i don't get a new mattress is another day of pain and feeling tired. Any good deals out there on a queen size mattress? Foam looks pretty nice, but i'll probably just get whatver i think is the better deal. Any hot deal finders hang out in OT? :p

You spend 1/3 to 1/4 of your life sleeping

Get a good mattress, that's all I have to say

If you do get foam, GET TEMPURPEDIC! The other stuff is just knock--off crap for a few bucks less.

Thanks for the info. Any chance i could get a quality mattress (foam or otherwise) for under $600? I guess i could probably go for a Full size if the savings were good enough. Also it doesn't seem likely that i'd order a mattress without checking it out in person first, but it wouldn't be impossible.

not true.

Latex is the original, Tempurpedic is a knock off. it is no more comfortable than latex and will not last nearly as long as latex. tempurpedic loses its ability to form around objects after a while (hardens) latex never does.

latex is the best buy in mattresses.

There was a humongous thread about memory foam in hot deals. It's probably archived by now, but you might want to look for it.

I recently got a Serta pillow-top from Sam's Club. Boxspring & matress were about $500 together. Very nice deal and super comfy. I also got an Ikea goose-down comforter to go along with it. Mmm... :)

Go to the local book place where you can borrow magazines (sometimes called a library) and check out the latest consumer reports. Good tips in there.

Check out the Select Comfort places. They have the "Sleep Number" beds. My wife swears by hers. I like it but wouldn't swear by it since I can sleep anywhere. But they are incredibly comfortable since you can adjust them to your own personal preferences.
