I may be leaning towards something. But my mind hasn't been made up.

@zeno
Yes I do/did. The only bsod's i've had were due to spyware doctor. No grey screens or driver issues for me.

I've had limited experience with Sager, but I did play with them briefly many years ago and I regarded their build quality as poor. Sorry I don't know if they have improved in recent years or not. Good luck!

Is sager metal or plastic? I don't mind either way, I'd prefer metal to rub it in my gf's uncle's face.

How poor? Cheap plastic poor? Flimsy pieces of metal poor?

I vaguely remember heavy laptops with cheap painted plastic that ran hot, and CD drivers that mysteriously wouldn't install on their own laptops... maybe all that's changed now though, I wouldn't know.

Try some of the Asus and Sager laptops here:

www.xoticp.com

I bought my wife's Asus G73JW from them and I'm about to buy an Asus G73SW-3DE from them as well.

Does anyone else have any experiences with sager? I'm really close to making a decision.

I have checked out Sager and generally think they have good hardware for the money but are a bit box-y in style and no backlit keyboard on most models. And no 120Hz screen option, no option for OCZ Vertex 3 SSD. So not for me, but still good computers.

I like the Asus G73SW models. Alienware is a good comp but too pricey for what you get, Sager's much cheaper for the same hardware -- just no pretty lights.
