I purchased a i7 860 cpu and Biostar tp55 motherboard combo at frys.

I am planning on overclocking it using a water cooling system so I want to push its limits, at least with how far the water cooled temps will let me go.

My question is if its worth keeping this motherboard or try selling it for $90 and get something else? I saw a Gigabyte P55A-UD for $140 which also has sata 6gb and usb 3.0 which the Biostar doesn't. But how are the overclocking capabilities on the Biostar?

Thanks for any advice!

You'll get more for the board by selling it in a sealed box. Try listing it on craigslist first to save on shipping. Then try on this forum; Biostar boards may overclock, but can't tell you about that model. Check the manual online for memory ratios and voltage adjustments. Then decide if you want to spend more on another board.

Ya I was planning on trying to sell it on craigslist.

Anyone else have any suggestions whether to keep this board or get another one?

the t-force boards can definitely get you to 4 ghz, but i would go for the gigabyte anyway.
