Any of you guys have a good suggestions for a hdd to replace my wd raptor as a bootdrive. Im lookinh for one that sata. i know i want it to be 7200 rpm Not sure if I should go with 8mb or 16mb cache and if i should go with sata 150 or sata 300. I have the epox EP-9NPA3ULTRA nforce4 ultra motherboard, that supports the sata II 300. Price around $60-$110. I need a new boot drive, this raptor limited stoage isnt cutting it for dual boot. I like to dual boot between xp and xp64. I need to use xp for my video editing and visual basic 6.0. I use xp64 for everyday use, games and etc.

oh yeah i forgot to mention, I use my 300gb hdd to store downloaded files, capture video and install my games too it. The main boot drive, i install my main apps such as pinnacle stuido 10 visual basic 6.0, aim, yahoo, money and etc.

Any major brand should do you well. I'm partial to Hitachi and Seagate but in reality pretty much any brand will do you well - the odds of getting a lemon are pretty low with any brand. http://www.StorageReview.com has reliable reviews of most brands and model lines as well as a reliability survey database (remember that respondents are self-selected, so the results will likely be skewed to the negative side, as people with a gripe are far more likely to take action than those who are satisfied).
