After doing some shopping I think I've narrowed it down to either:

Marshall MG100DFX Combo which is about $550cdn

The Marshall has an emulated line out, which might be quite important for me, since I do most of my playing in a church, this would allow me to skip the mic and plug right into the sound system.

Any more advice?
The Marshall DFX line sucks. I hade a MG30DFX and had nothing but problems with it. Ended up selling for $100. Sounded like crap too.

I respect your opinion, but I've heard that almost every line sucks from someone or the other. How am I going to weed out personal opinion from actual suckage? :)

What kind of problems did u have w/ your amp?

A couple months after I bought it the FX board died and I had to bring it in. It took Marshall three months to get the replacement part in. Then after two years the power switch just fell off. I had to take it in again. Just wasn't worth it, especially because it did not sound good overall.

Don't trust me, check harmony central:

MG30DFX
MG100DFX

Pretty poor reviews. I know it sucks to get 100 different opinions from 100 different people, but really the Marshall solid state amps suck. FWIW, the Line 6 got better reviews:

Line 6 Spider II 210 Combo

Do you really need 100+ watts? You realize a 50W or even a 30W is more than enough to fill a church? You get get so much better bang for the buck going with lower wattage.
