Need a New Flying game

I wish I could help but there isnt much these days. A lot of us on Anandtech have been complaining about the lack of good flight games.

I really wish someone would come out with another space jet sim.
Descent 4 or Freespace 3 or another Wing Commander. But all those companies are out of business or swallowed up. Maybe Lucasarts could be persuaded to make another space shooter.

X3 sucked in my humble opinion.

Freelancer was pretty good. I'd like a sequel to that but I think most flight sim fans are looking for something a little more hardcore, with joysticks and squadrons and such.
 
I will have to check out that IL game and maybe blazing angels.

I do wish they would make some more flying sims that would be fast paced.

WWII Online is basically a flight sim that just happens to have the army and navy along with a 1/2 scale map of western europe along with it. If you're into realism, and would like the option of not only flying, but driving tanks.. etc... it might be for you. The game has a steep learning curve, but once you get the basics, you can compete with anyone... at least on the ground.

Flying is a different story. You need to know tactics.

Only downside is its 15 bucks a month.
