" ...a decent fan with thermal pad would be nice."
What are you saying here?
"My current when is on a thermal pad and is ages old and riddled with dust"
I've used conpressed air to clean many a heat sink. Again, I'm confused.
"...so yeah something half way decent with thermal pad so i dont have to deal with grease."
Kensai has some good advice. The Ceramique is really pretty easy to use compared to others. It's kinda sticky so it adheres to surfaces well and it's non conductive. Note, a little goes a long way.
The Zalman is a bit pricey and also may not fit your board.
Link to CNPS7000B-AlCu
However, it will not only fit an AMD 462 socket it will allow you to upgrade later and use it on an AMD socket 754 or 939, or even 940. If you take the above link you will find another link in green letters "Compatible CPUs and Motherboards."
Edit: My bad, that isn't a link.
