Ok well I need a new card over my 8mb one, and I want to attempt to play Battlefield 1942 and other games, I have a gateway select 600 mhz with 192 ram, anyways I was thinking about getting this http://www.allstarshop.com/shop/product.asp?dept_id=289&pid=5159&ad=pwatch or a radeon 9000 pro which is the same price, Im not sure which is better, I dont want to spend any more then around 200$ would the 4200, or 4600 really be worth the money? Im gonna use this, then build a new computer later and put it in their.......

IMO the TI4200 is the best bang for the buck.

Also .. If you do wind up buying that card ... i HIGHTLY recommend Newegg.com

They have the same card in stock for $147

ok thanks, is their any companys to avoid, any I should buy from? Does it matter?

Reseller Rating is a good place to go check on store ratings.

These are good:
MWave.com; Ordered from them long time ago, they are good and others here like them.
TCWO; Never ordered but people here like them.
Google Gear; Just ordered but people like them here.

yea i'd say get the abit ti4200 siluro for under 140 from newegg...it's a good price for a good overclocker and it will probably be enough firepower for you to play those games

You can probably find a nice Radeon 8500 for around 100$.

This IMO is the best bang for the buck.

And it plays 1942 very nicely. 🙂
