Need a netbook

Read some threads here on it but didn't see anything very definitive. Wife is wanting one, strangely color is important and she liked the white mini HP (simply because it had neat white designs...). Would be used mainly for internet surfing and media (not video editing, just lots of pictures and such).

Is there any others I should consider at the $300-$400 range?
I saw the Dell Mini 10 had a blu-ray recorder and hdmi out.
Also Windows XP or the New Windows 7?
 
Where the heck didja see a netbook with a blu-ray recorder? No netbook that I've seen - not many, but then again, there;s not that many out - have a DVD/Blu-ray/Whatever drive in them.

As far as I can understand it, HP is the only manufacturer that has designs on the casing. That having been said, http://www.woot.com has a netbook for sale you might want to take a gander at.
 
i just bought a usb dvd burner... it was only like $50. anytime i need it, i break it out. i don't need it for anything other than plane rides, though, really, so it isn't an issue... but my battery lasts 6.5 hrs, so that's sweet.
