Need a multimedia audio controller?

alright, so one late night my comp starts beeping away, i wake up, turn it off, and go back to bed. at first i thought it was my thermaltake case warning my of high comp temps, but it wasn't. So now looked around and saw the beeps have something to do with my audio controllers?

I have no formatted in a while, sound was working last week just fine.

I have tried uninstalling the controllers from device manger and when i scan for hardware changes.. it will try to install the controllers, BUT.... it cannot find them, just says it may not work properly. arghhhhH!!!!!

I have an Audigy 2 platinum, with front bay. I still get sound with movies and winamp, just not Battlefield 2, or other games.

if u need any more info, just ask 🙂

Pleae help! 🙂

I never got the drivers with this harware, and creative isn't all that helpful when it come to support... I have installed the latest drivers in an attempt to fix this. Would this be an issue with my mobo? due to it beeping and all?

Start the Volume Control applet and check that none of the outputs are muted. Also, you might want to ask around locally and see if anyone has a driver disk for the Audigy 2 (Creative's driver downloads only work right if you've already installed the original ones off CD). Also, can we see what the device manager shows under "Sound, video, and game controllers"?

Locally, I'm the only one who even knows how to build a system, no one around my area has this CD 🙁
