Ellen Page is pretty good in this. I just can't get into Patrick Wilsons character.

Well that's tough since he is half of the film, but fair enough. I'm a big fan of the guy and this movie is a big part of the reason why (along with Little Children). I thought they played off each other very well. Have you seen Little Children? He's awesome in that too.

I liked him in Watchmen, maybe I'll have to check out Little Children.

I watched District 9.

Much better than I expected.
I liked District 9 a lot myself.

Maybe a dumb question, but have ya seen Cloud Atlas ?

It's long and different, but I enjoyed it actually.

I actually was seeing things I didn't notice before on the third time I watched it.

A bit forced in parts, but it reminded me a lot of old Cordwainer Smith Sci Fi stories in parts.

I wish someone had done a few of his more over the years, or just the shorts.

Which is kinda what they did there I guess though maybe not all related to his type of style, interlinking a lot of shorts over the course of the movie.

Thanks for saving me that time then.

asian drama

have you ever played any war of the three kingdom games?

actually it is a good movie it is not western and thus like a lot of asian and indian movies is very long

was a huge bduget and all star cast

the reviews are very high

rotten tomatoes gave it a 89 % rating

kieth talent must no like non hollywood movies longer than 90 minutes

guessing it was more like 5 hours

you think michael bay should direct episode 8 and 9?

I would be happy if Michael Bay never directed another film, ever. Incompetent asshole.

Lol, you obviously know nothing about me and my taste in films. :D Nice try.

Edit: sorry, do not want to come across as a dick; like whatever you want, I just found that film extremely tedious. I have enjoyed other Chinese films, but that one was really bad.

fine it was an opinion

the movie is good and maybe i was worried that raasco might not watch it

if you can handle watching a 5 hour movie then it is great

not just boring crap as there is a mix of action and drama

Fair enough. I disagree and looking back at the movie thread it was only me and sdifox who disliked it, so OP may enjoy the film. The action was indeed awesome, but everything else was blah and the more I reflected on the film, the blah won out.

Original language with subtitles is all I ever watch. I abhor anything dubbed, unless it is intended to be that way.

Just watched cloverfield, was pretty lame :\ Rooting for the monster the whole movie tbh!

Recent decent movies:

- Pacific rim
- Oblivion
- Riddick
- Dredd
- Elysium
- Star trek into the darkness (whatever it beats the shit out of something like cloverfield)

Or you could watch something older, like Independence day, that movie was fucking amazing!
