I'm goingto build an unRAID server which, at full capacity will house 16 hard drives. I'm looking for a motherboard to support this. I want socket 775 and DDR 2 or 3. What I'm not sure about is what north/south bridge chipsets to go for, is a P45/ICH10R going to be the best option?
I'm also concerned with what PCI slots to look out for. Will PCI x16/x8/x4/x1 be fast enough for a SATA control card or am I going to want a board with PCI-X?
