Need a monitor recommendation

I have a Viewsonic A75f and it is an awesome monitor. I chose it over a KDS model that was similar in specs/price, after staring at them for some time at Office Depot.

Monitors are subjective, so the best thing to do is go to Office Depot, Office Max, Staples, Circuit City and/or Best Buy and just look at the various models and decide which one you like, then see if you can get a better deal online. (The model numbers may change when you look at them online, a quick specs check should solve that problem)

I really like the Flat Screen of my Viewsonic, and the coating which cuts down on most of the reflection from other light sources around the room. I decided a excellent 17" would better suit me than a lesser 19", and haven't regreted it since. The price of the A75f has fallen dramatically, so you might start there and see if you like it. My 0.02 Hope this helps

I know a lot of people are against auction sites, but Ubid lists a lot of good 17" monitors very very cheap (just REMEMBER to add the shipping fee, which is almost always $10 + the weight of the monitor)

Try to get a New or Manufacturer Refurb above the Refurb and Used ones 🙂

good luck...

I'm using a KDS Avitron i picked up Sam's Club for 199.00. It's a 17 inch flat screen. Not a bad monitor for the price, color is good.

another vote for samsung 753df. great performance for it's price. i just ordered one from dell, can't wait to see how it performs for myself.

I'll sell you a KDS VS9e 17" monitor for 100 plus whatever it costs to ship it. It is a good monitor and has served me well. It is also still under the KDS 3 year waranty for another year. I am not exactly sure on the specs, but it is very clear and does 1024x768@120Hz, 1152x864@100Hz and 1280x1024@85Hz, and will do up to 1600x1200.
