Need a monitor opinion

I'm curious from the ones out there that have already gone dual monitor. Is it worth it?
I'm thinking about getting a 2nd LCD. I currently have a 17" Samsung 712N. I'm debating about weather or not to get a 2nd 17" or to get a 20+ widescreen. I split my time between gaming (BF2) and learning flash. The learning is where I'm tempted to say that the dual monitor will help, as I'll be able to have one display my work, and the other watching video tutorials. I'm just curious about the opinions of those who've gone either way. TIA.

It's all up to you dude. My 20.1" Widescreen is nice for gaming, but that's all I do.

If you do a lot of flash work and plan on multitasking a lot, it's probably more practical to get the 2nd LCD for u.

Multi monitors can work out very nicely, if what you do doesn't lend itself to just swapping windows. The downside is that you end up putting serious mileage on your mouse moving from one to the other.

Watching a turorial on one screen while you do stuff on the other seems like ideal for using two monitors.

I've had a triple monitor setup using Parhelia for video editing.
I have changed my thinking because of the disturbing splits between screens.
I'm checking out those new 22" LCDs (Viewsonic & Sceptre) at Costco. A $50 coupon nets $299.99.
I will use 1 monitor for video playback and the 22" for desktop editing. It seems to be the logical choice.
Originally, I wanted a 2405/2407, but its out of my range. I need other upgrades first. (4800+, hdds, etc.)
Multiple monitors are nice but the split is a little distracting.
Seeing my friends' widescreens made the decision easier.
