Ah, I see. A driveby sh!tter. AT gets one of those every so often. The mods are usually quick to respond. Looks like they were on the ball again.

Actually, his first post was about an hour old before it got zapped, and no one did anything before this thread.

How many warnings were in the thread itself?

It's Sunday. Give 'em a break.

Eh, they did fine. there's a lot of content to 'moderate'. I was just surprised, but they did a fine job 🙂

Now, since I did wind up opening the page that was linked, I ran ad-aware twice and an AVG scan (and this is not my computer, shhh!!😉 )
I removed 23 cookies with ad-aware, and nothing on the second time, but AVG did find and remove a downloader. Anybody that opened this junk needs to scan their system, if they haven't already.

Probably not. It's more likely that it was a fix for IE that prevented it.

+ Mod in Buddies list = problem solved 😉
First time I've needed a mod in forever so I went the quickand easy route. What's a matter, no sense of humor about ATOT? 😉

EDIT: Question: If I add them to the buddies list does it include all mods since some are obviously not always on-line?

I posted a thread about this a few days ago because I didn't know either.
Apparently if ANY mod is online and you have one in your list, the mod in charge will show up.

I could be wrong, but that's what I gathered from the mods response in that thread.

Edit: Is this the case OH GREAT ONE?

I see in the Forum issues thread that BlueWeasle PM'd a mod@12:15 Posting here got a response in minutes=good call.

Yeah, think his first post started in Hot Deals, and that's where I saw it. I was naive at first and thought the guy was new, so I posted a polite reply. His other threads started appearing a couple minutes later and I PM'ed the Mod at that point.

Well I PM the MOD on duty and got this reply.

When mods log onto their own user accounts, they appear as all other accounts. Any mod logged on as AT Mod sees our PM notice, and it is up to the first mod who spots a PM to reply or contact other mods for help with a given problem.

Mod

I also asked if it would be OK to post this reply, but got no answer. I assume it's OK though, since it's a rather inane topic?
