I know there are only 3 chip sets available, nVidia, VIA and SIS.
Which chip set is better, and which mobo is most stable, trouble free and fast?

There is another chipset, the ali magic one, on the Iwill xp333-r, with ata 133 support, 6 channel sound, 333ddram support and raid. Prices start at $115 (pricewatch). Just a little slower than the kt266a. The abit Kr7a and shuttle ak35gtr are neck and neck in performance, and the shuttle will be cheaper when it's available Jan 20th ($129 newegg). I use the ak31 version 3.1 ($80 newegg) and it runs great since the last bios upgrade.

Heres a good link that was recommended to me the other day.

amdmb

This place has amazing reviews on things. Not sure which is the best, I guess thats matter of personal preference and what your using and doing with it.

Good luck.

There is also AMD's chipset, although older now, is still a good one to consider. I think it's time that AMD releases another new chipset soon too.

Each chipset had their strenghts & weaknesses. If u argue...it will never end. Nevertheless, I use Epox 8KHA+ (VIA KT266A chipset). Fast & stable...no probs. Suggest u look into it.
