Need a Mobo for OC'n q6600 and Gaming

I was looking at the Asus Blitz Formula Special Edition but it seems to be sold out. Should I just settle for the regular Blitz Formula or switch to the new x38 chipset. I heard the p35 is good for overclocking though. My friend also told me I should pick a Mobo that will work best with my GPU which is going to be an Nvidia 8800 series card. He mentioned something to me about the Crossfire support in the Formula but no SLI?? Please help me with some suggestions or recommendations. Thanks guys!

If you insist on SLI or think you might go that way down the road... the a 680i chipset currently is your only bet. eVGA 680i. Done. There is my recomendation. Best board I ever owned. At least this way you don't have to go hurting with getting DDr3 if you go x38.

As for the Blitz... I have no idea so I am giving you my experience.

I looked into the Evga 680i and people seem to be having problems with the q6600 and overclocking it on those boards. Theres supposed to be a Bios comming out soon which fixes it but I guess we'll find out when it comes out. I'm not really worried about SLI at the moment. If anything down the mine I'll make a 2nd rig and SLI that but for now my main focus is getting that q6600 to about 3.6ghz STABLE.
