I would imagine any nForce 4 board would be fine, it's not for a power user by any means.

I would just like an AGP board. I don't care about OC'ing or firewire or anything like that. Just one with a clear manual and the standard on board sound, LAN port(s) and pins for front USB

Thanks

nf3 = agp
nf4 = pci-x

For purposes of this thread anyway.

I've got the Chaintech nForce 4 board and I like it so far. I've always had good luck with chaintech boards.

However their manuals are aweful so dont expect much from them on that front.

yeah, I got a nForce 3 Chaintech for my mom and the manual was of little to no help :(

so the $135 nForce 4 DFI isn't really worth it if I can get a a nForce 3 for much cheaper? are the nForce 250's the best way to go?

ive got the Epox 9NDA3+ and its a great board. I have gotten up to 317HTT (unstable) and can run 300HTT semi-stable... I run 289HTT due to the work I do (cant afford a random crash at all)...

Wrong :p. PCI-X is NOT the same as PCIexpress. PCIX is some high end stuff for server boards.

Indeed

at least he knew what i meant :)
