I've decided to to the Athlon route and possibly try to OC if I feel brave enough. I saw this cool deal on newegg where they are selling a XP1600+ 1.4 Ghz for $54.99. Would I be able to OC this to somewhere near a 1.6-1.8 Ghz? Or should I just save myself the trouble and get a XP2000 1.67 Ghz and keep it as it, or OC that? I know someone will say, "it basically boils down to what you want to spend," but I want to get the most for my money's worth. Whether it means getting a XP2000 or a XP1600 and OC'ing it.
Also, I did a search on these forums for the ASUS A7V333 and found that it has some trouble posting with the XP. Has there been a fix found? What I like about the A7V333 is that the mobo fan is not a fan, but a heatsink. I want to keep my computer noise level down as much as possible. If the A7V333 seems to have a lot of problems, then I'd like to go with another board. does anyone have any recommendations? I've also thought of the Soyo Dragon KT333 (It's cheap
