Need a microphone

I'd like to pick up a microphone for gaming. I want to use the microphone while I'm wearing a set of Sennheiser HD280s, so it should either clip on or something similar. I'd also love to keep the cables together in some fashion, so I don't want to wear something different around my neck.

I guess the perfect solution would be a flexi style boom mic with a clip for mounting. Anyone ever hear of such a beast?

I found this but it's already on the headphone.
Sennheiser

There are S headphones matching yours but with mike. There rather expensive. You could also put your set up for sale and get the set that meets your requirements, or not.

That's interesting, I'll look into that line a bit more.

The main reason for the HD280 is the 8 Hz - 25 kHz range. The Senn. PC160 gaming line you mentioned is 15 Hz - 23 kHz, which may indeed be ok.

I'm currently using the Turtle Beach Earforce HPA 5.1 headset, it has some great features but I find it's 20 Hz - 16 kHz noticeably lacking. All other features are top notch though and it's a bit difficult to just let it go because of the lack of range.

Back to the point... I love the HD280's in games, it's just rich sounding in my opinion. I even prefer that extra range to the 5.1 positional sound, which honestly isn't as noticeable as the range. I'm going to do some reading on the PC160 now though, thanks for the recommendation pkme2.
