Trying to put together a compact yet very powerful gaming rig. I found this MSI X58 microATX board that has six RAM slots and two PCI-E x58 slots, plus, it's cheap as far as X58 boards go ($170).

I was also planning on using a Prolimatch Megahalem as a cooler for my Core i7 920 D0 chip.

Are there any micro-atx cases (preferably horizontal style, as this will do double-duty as a HTPC), that will fit an X58 micro-ATX board, a megahalem, two 9800GTs in SLI, and probably I need a full-size ATX PSU too. (Probably a PC P&C silencer 750 quad).

Edit: Would this case work? Looks like it takes a full-size ATX board, and possibly a full-size ATX PSU.

This might be a problem. MSI's web site lists this:" 2 PCI Express gen2 x16 slots
- supports ATI® Crossfire?" No mention of SLI.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16813130227
Newegg says this:"Supports ATI Crossfire or NVIDIA SLI Technology"

It wouldn't be the first time that Newegg is wrong. The pictures of the mobo only list a crossfire bridge, no SLI bridge.

It remains to be seen if there will be a hacked BIOS.

Edit: Nevermind. Clicking on the BIOS page on MSI's site shows this:"Version 3.xx supports SLI function"

The NZXT ROGUE is interesting. Looks like good cooling, three 120mm fans. Not sure that it would fit into their TV stand though, looks like it would be too tall.
"Cons: I can't really say it is a con because it was MY fault for not fully checking out the dimensions prior to buy. I figured "micro atx" must be fairly small footprint. Don't let the form factor fool you, this guy is HUGE. has a MUCH larger footprint than a standard tower, and is fairly tall. It is a fairly big eyesore for a media pc. "

"I wanted to assemble an MATX case with a Core I7 processor, but also wanted to use an effective after market cooler. This is the only MATX case that I found that can do it."

actually i think you can have up to 5 120mm fans. 2 on the left, two on the right and 1 in the back. part of the reason its bigger

I have an NZXT Rogue and I love it.

It's larger than most mATX cases, but it holds five 120mm fans, 4-5 hard drives, 2 optical drives, and most importantly, it has space for an ATX power supply and tower heatsink. I'm using a Freezer 7 Pro in mine right now, and I could fit a taller tower heatsink as long as it's not too wide.

The Antec Mini P180 is quite large. I wouldnt call it a SFF case. A mATX case, yes, but not a SFF case. Its basically a Mid-tower ATX case in size that uses mATX mobos. As far as quality and performance goes though it is very good. I wonder what the OP ended up getting?

larry i dont think your gonna be able to fit that megaldon inside that case.

General rule of thumb is you get the same size tower sink that comes with the size of your rear fan.

On that silverstone i believe it uses 2 80mm, so your megalwhatchacallit which uses a 120mm is gonna stand too tall.

The v350 and v351 cases are pretty popular with the SFF crowd these days and considered quite good. I have never used one personally though.
