Update: I found a potential candidate, although there would be some issues.
Amazon sells the Pyle PLHR78W for around $100. It's a 7" monitor designed for use in cars. I would have to figure out how to power it (it's 12V) and
the tiny manual does not show what the video input connectors look like. I'm not very confident I could find a video Y cable that would go from the DVD to both the projector and this little monitor's video input (whatever that is).

Any thoughts? Is this even worth pursuing?

Original post:
Our church sound room has a projector, PC, DVD player, etc. The PC and the DVD are hooked up to the projector.

When showing a DVD we'd like to be able to cue up video to the exact starting point without displaying all the menus, etc. to everyone through the projector.

Is there a little (has to be very small) monitor we could get to hook up somehow in parallel with the projector so we could watch the monitor (with the projector blanked) to cue up the videos?

I was thinking there might be something like those small TV screens they use in the back seats of cars which might work that we could just mount on the wall next to the DVD player.

I'm assuming it's a composite video input on that?

How is the DVD player hooked up? If it's s-video/component/HDMI, then couldn't you just connect up both devices from the DVD player at once?

The PC might be more troublesome... how is that connected to the projector now?
