Need a little help

I just installed Win2K on one of my old PCs to act as a server. I've got two other PCs already networked together. How can I make my new PC the "server". Also, what can I use the server for? Can I install Office on it and use the app from the two client PCs I have? I'm just trying to learn a little about servers and all😉

Is this win2k server? You should have more options using the server version than the desktop version, but Im definitely no expert on Windows 😉

In a setup like you have, peer to peer is probably the least painful way to start out. Just create a share or two, have them map themselves on logon, and you should be pretty set. I dont know about the office thing though, worth a shot 😉

That may cut down on what you can do with it, Im really not sure. Give it a shot and see what happens. But remember the 10 connection limit...

10 limit? Only 10 users all once? If so, it's not an issue. I've only got two PCs and really this "experiment" is to learn a little.
