Need a Little Help

I am having no luck setting up my computer. A few days back, I thought that I dl'ed a virus. I thought this becuase I was getting blue screen GPF's and the computer would just restart at it's leisure. I was runnin Win2K then. Well I fdisked and formatted and went to reinstall, and it said one the ntkrnlmp.exe wasn't found (from boot disk 1). So I made new disks. Tried again and same thing. So I didn't know what to do, I installed Win98. I got all the drivers installed and bam, starting freezing/restarting again. I tried fdisking/formatting about 10 more times, installed and then the same thing happened. BTW, I downloaded everything but the NIC driver off the internet because I thought that the virus may have been on my system when I burned the CD's with my drivers. The system is stable as hell in DOS, so it's either a driver or maybe a piece of hardware. I have tried taking everything out, completely rebuilding the computer like I was putting it together for the first time, with no luck. I went out and bought a new hard drive, and it STILL is freezing.

Right now, it's been on about 20 minutes w/ no freezing. It usually goes about 30 minutes or so. I havn't loaded anything on the system except the drivers. If anyone has any suggestion/ideas please let me know. I will do anything at this point!!! Thanks

Folks, I really could use some help here. I have exhausted everything that I know of. Please let me know if there is anything else that I might be able to try. Thanks!

Yup, everything is set to default. I was thinking it was the Power supply, so I went out and bought a new 300w power supply, but Im still getting errors. I havn't messed w/ any jumpers since it started giving me errors.
