need a little help with gmail using outlook

following this guide i've done everything it's said and i'm at the part where it's trying to test it. everything gets completed except for "send test e-mail message"

in the errors it says unable to send test message. please verify the e-mail address field.

i have my exact gmail account in the email accounts section.

any help?

Yeah, check to make sure the ports are correct. I was setting this up and accidentally put 456 instead of 465 for the SMTP. Didn't much like that.

Your ISP may block outbound SMTP connections. If so, you'll need to either see if you can have the block removed for your connection (at&t internet services does this), or if it's possible to use SMTP at all to a server that is not their own.
