Need a little help w/ F.E.A.R

In that cutscene in the hospital. I keep dying on the second floor after the doctor is killed. What am I supposed to be doing?

When you see the girl coming towards you you have to keep on shooting it. Don't let anything get near you.

Am I doing something wrong? She seems to get to me everytime. I got this wussy pistol only.

shoot her in the face and shoot fast... it takes a while but you'll get it

You know, the first time she came at me I didn't fire a single bullet. I felt bad for her.
Of course, I was wrong. Death would be a mercy. But I just didn't think she'd attack me, if you know what I mean.
