Need a little help in North Dallas

So my main computer took a crap a few weeks ago. As of right now I am unsure if it is the cpu or mobo that is fried. I'm looking for a socket A mobo that supports a mobile XP. I'd like to test the cpu as I don't want to have to buy a new one if I gotta already working one. If anyone who has a spare or easily accessible mobo and would let me borrow a few minutes of their time, I would greatly appreciate it.
