Need a little help for my Pre-Cal final tomorrow..

Got a worksheet to study off of, but there are three problems I'm stuck on. If anyone can help out, thanks.

1) Solve (x-1)/(x^2-4)<2

2. Convert y=4x^3 to a linear function.

3. Solve e^x>ln(x)-2

ln(y)= ln(x^3) + ln(4) = 3*ln(x) + ln(4)

Multiply thru so you got:
x-1 < 2x^2-8
--> 0 < 2x^2-x-7
You can take it from there.

=(x-1)/(x-2)(x+2)<2 so x doesnt equal 2, -2 and x-1<2 = x<3
so x<3 and x not= 2,-2
