Need a little extra juice for that underfed, power hungry video card?

It looks like it connects to another outlet through an adapter that hooks into the back of your case although it's installed into a 5.25inch drive bay.

There is a cable that attaches to the back of the PSU unit in the bay, which leads to a slot cover. From there, you attach another power cable to the outside of the same slot cover, and plug it into a wall socket.

At least, thats how it looks to me.

And I agree, its pricey. If they can get these down to less than 50 USD, I'd be more interested. And I cannot seem to find the amperage it puts out, only that its 150Wx2.
 
I'd hold out to see if they revise the power consumptions of the first gen DX10 cards. They really through power draw out the window and really concentrated on features from what I hear with the upcoming R600's and G80's. Maybe their revisions will make these new PSU's useless.

But, if they get pretty cheap, why not?
