I just got my new system together:

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (Winchester) @ 2.6GHZ
Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe Motherboard
1GB PDP PC3200 w/XBL
BFG 6800GT OC PCIe Video Card
WD 74GB Raptor
Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu
CoolerMaster Centurion 5 Mid-Tower Case
Enermax NoiseTaker 600W PSU
Samsung 193P LCD

My overclocking has been pretty sucessful, especially considering what a PITA this board is to overclock. Anyway, with my current OC, I need 1.575V going to the chip, which I am fine with, but my current HSF can't seem to keep the thing under 55C load. Even though this isn't a bad temp, I would really like to get it under 50C at a reasonable noise level, so I thought I would look into water cooling. I have run a Koolance system before on a previous machine and it worked pretty well at keeping my AXP 2500+ @ 2V relatively cool. The problem is that I know there are better performing options out there. I would like to try and spend under $450.00 total, as I can get the following Koolance system for about $370.00 Shipped:

Koolance Exos Al External Water Cooling System
CPU-300-H06 CPU Waterblock
VID-NV2-L06 Geforce 6800 Series Waterblock
AMD A64 Adapter
Koolant Refill

What are some other options, what would you recommend to a semi-newbie going into a DIY watercooling setup? Any help, suggestions, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

BTW, I would also like something that will allow me to expand to add another Video Card waterblock when I can find another PCIe BFG 6800GT OC in stock!

First off, temps as reported by the motherboard/bios are never accurate. Your temps are probably fine, but they just show up as high temps because your temps sensor is off.

However, if you want to get the temps down without water, you could upgrade the cpu cooler. The xp-90 would cool better than your current setup, and only cost a fraction of water cooling.
